Woodside Academy uniform consists of a burgundy sweatshirt or cardigan with the Woodside logo worn over a white polo shirt (with or without the logo) worn with grey trousers, skirt, shorts or culottes. Year 6 wear navy blue instead of burgundy with the option of a tie, and Nursery to Year 5 have the option of a pink and white gingham dress for summer wear, Year 6 now have the oppurtunity to wear a blue and white gingham dress.
Children may wear a plain white shirt or blouse provided they are also wearing a Woodside top with our logo over this. The expectation is that children will be wearing something with our school logo and not wearing anything with any other logo.
Black shoes are required for boys and girls and these need to be entirely black without coloured or white logos or trims. Wearing the correct uniform is a requirement for all children and one which is checked on a daily basis.
Children without essential items may sometimes be given second hand uniform to wear. Woodside fleeces are no longer sold due to environmental issues and we ask that children no longer wear them in school. All uniform items should be clearly labelled with your child's name.
For PE children need a t-shirt in their house colour (red, yellow, green or blue) with the Woodside logo, black shorts and trainers. Swimming hats in house colours are available from the school for £1.50
All of the above, together with Woodside hats and bags, are available from the below suppliers:
Uniform without our school logo can be purchased at any uniform retailer or supermarket.
As per the DfE's uniform guidance of ensuring that school uniform is reasonable and secures the best value for money, we are keeping branded items to a minimum and second-hand uniform is also available through https://mycommunitychurch.org.uk/
