Here at Woodside we use Drama as an integril part of our teaching and learning as well as giving children the opportunity to pursue Drama outside the curriculum at our Musial Theatre Club.
This club is a combination of drama, singing and some dancing.
Children are taught to work together in a friendly and encouraging environment. By allowing them to be imagintive they have the opportunity to develop creativily, physically, musically and socially. It gives them confidence in public speaking, listening and teaches them the importance of teamwork. This club also teaches children to be reliable and to learn to commit their time to a perfomance which we hold two a year.
Children experience putting on a show from selection, stage managing, lighting, sound, music, props and costumes. They are involved every step of the way.
Our last production was Into the Woods which was selected by the children. Our next show will be in the Summer term.
