Our school council consists of children elected from each class from year 2 to year 6. The council discuss all kinds of school issues, including learning, and take a lead in charity events such as Children in Need. The council have represented the school at the Armistice Day and Holocaust Memorial Day events and visited the mayor of Thurrock in the Thurrock Council Chamber to learn how democracy works. This year the school council has decided to support Children in Need in the autumn term and hold a Macmillan Cake Sale in the summer. In the spring term they are considering combining Comic Relief with some of the activities they enjoyed in the Sport Relief Triathlon last year. School Councillors have also been discussing special activities for Anti-Bullying Week and have been involved with our harvest festival and British Legion collections.
