Information

Well done to all the children who attended our classes over Easter. Breakfast Boosters continue next term.

Year 6

You are invited to a meeting in the hall on Thursday 31st January where we will explain what is expected of your child in the SATs this summer and what you can do to help.

We want children to have the best possible chance of success and have restarted our popular Breakfast Boosters. Year 6 children are invited to come in at 7.45 am (or from 7.15 am if this is more convenient) for a choice of healthy breakfasts, including cooked options, and then sharpen their English and mathematics skill using laptops or our computer suite. Children can also come at 8.00 am for just the learning without breakfast if they prefer. This is entirely FREE and in addition to our Tuesday and Thursday holiday workshops, daily maths sets in smaller groups with four teachers, and targeted interventions during the rest of the day, and will continue every day until the SATs finish. Last year we found that, rather than make children worry about SATs, our extra learning opportunities improved not only the children's skills but their attitude to learning, making them more confident.

Y6 are invited to our holiday workshops on Tuesday and Thursday of half term and BOTH weeks of the Easter  holiday  to give them every chance to achieve success in their SATS next year.  All sessions are FREE and this includes upbeat teaching in key areas of English and mathematics in the morning followed by lunch and sports or craft activities in the afternoon. Sessions start at 9.00 a.m. with access through the dining hall and finish at 3.00 p.m. but children can use the holiday club (8.00 a.m. - 6.00 p.m.), again for free, if attending the workshops.
We will be taking Y6 to the Marchant Hill PGL activity centre in Surrey for their residential school journey on 17th - 21st June 2019. The cost per child is £395 including transport, accommodation, activities with qualified instructors and all meals and drinks. You need to pay a £45 non-returnable deposit in September to book your place and then 7 payments of £50 made each month, apart from December. You can make a number of payments at the same time if  you prefer. Please pay with your ParentMail account. If your child has pupil premium  you need to pay the deposit but we can use the premium to make one payment for you this term and one next term leaving you with 5 payments of £50 to make yourself.

Make sure your children are not missing out on exciting online learning which will really support their learning in school. We have given children log in details for:
