Year 6

Welcome to Year 6 from Mrs Roberts, Miss Edwards and Ms Ray.

Please do not hesitate to speak to your child's class teacher if you have any questions. We are always willing to answer any questions you may have.

Classroom doors open at 8.45am in the morning and home time is 3:15pm via your child's allocated classroom door.

PE Days  

On PE days, children should come to school wearing their PE kit for the whole day. 

Class Information:

6R: Wednesday and Thursday

6M: Wednesday and Thursday

6E: Wednesday and Thursday

Key Information

Reading books will be expected to be in school daily to allow us to monitor and assist with reading progression.

Children can bring in a daily snack (fruit).

Please ensure that all water bottles, lunchboxes, coats, jumpers and cardigans are clearly labelled with your child’s name.

Rapid recall of times tables is a fundamental skill in KS2, so we encourage children to do 10 minutes a night on  TT Rockstars to progress up the rankings and ‘turn green’ to earn their special badge and certificate in assembly.

Homework:

  • Read at least 5 times a week at home. Children that do this will be entered into the school's weekly raffle.
