Our pop-up pool for swimming lessons is back!

We are pleased to inform you that swimming lessons will be taking place at school this term for some of our SEN pupils, all pupils in Years 3, 4 and 5, and those Year 6 pupils whose parents have requested participation.

Swimming is a statutory part of the primary school curriculum. Schools are required to ensure that all children can swim at least 25 metres unaided by the end of Year 6, alongside developing essential water safety skills. These lessons are therefore a compulsory part of your child’s education.

The lessons will take place in a pop-up swimming pool located on the school grounds. Pupils will receive a 30-minute lesson each day over a period of either one or two weeks, depending on their year group. This intensive approach allows children to build confidence and make rapid progress in a short space of time.
