Wat Tyler Country Park Visit

We took all of our Y4 classes for a three-day residential visit to Wat Tyler Country Park at Pitsea. The park is a haven for wildlife besides the Thames estuary but was once on of Alfred Nobel's explosive factories. The children stay in one of the buildings where the explosives used to be made and learn about the history and ecology of the park. Highlights include the campfire and the mudslide.
