Goodbye to all our leavers; pupils and staff. It's always sad to see our Y6 move one but we know that, after all their experiences at Woodside, they are more than ready for new challenges. This term we are also saying goodbye to some members of staff. Thank you, goodbye and good luck to:
Mrs Marriott who has worked as a teaching assistant at Woodside for 16 years, and before that at a volunteer, during which she has touched the lives of hundreds of children. Mrs Marriott is moving to Lincolnshire in the autumn.
Mrs North who has been working here as a Teaching Assistant on a one year contract. Unfortunately we will not have the funding to have any extra TAs next year.
Mr Nunn, an ex-Woodside pupil, has been here for two years, first as a graduate trainee and then as an inspirational sports teaching assistant; but is taking a gap year to go to New Zealand. If he doesn't get snapped up by a Rugby team we hope to have him back to continue his teacher training.
Mr Sharp has been teaching here for three years but was here well before that as a volunteer, a teaching assistant and a trainee. He will be remembered for those spectacular dramatic productions and for sharing his love of Shakespeare and making history come alive.
Mr Syed has been here for two years and is popular with everyone but moved to Suffolk earlier this term and will be working nearer home in September.
Mrs Toohey, we are pleased to say, is not leaving but instead of Mrs Toohey, in September, will be Mrs Wilkinson. We congratulate her on her forthcoming marriage and wish her the best of luck.
