Food Vouchers

The council are being given money by the government to help families in need and have asked schools to provide parents of children who have Free School Meals with vouchers that can be exchanged for food in supermarkets during Christmas and the next half-term holiday. We are aware that some parents who could have claimed Free School Meals may have not registered because they have infant children who get free meals anyway or because their children are too fussy to eat school meals.  Once a child is registered as able to have  Free School Meals the school can get other funding to help them. At Woodside we use this to subsidize visits, music lessons and other activities for these children as well  as giving them support they may need with their learning.
