We were pleased to hear that stopping free infant meals was left out of the Queen's speech, meaning that should be safe for a while. It is still worth checking whether your child could get free meals on the basis of your income however, as this would provide meals in the juniors and other support now. If as a family you earn less than £16,190 or you receive certain benefits (or if your child is adopted or has been “looked after”) you should claim Free Meals and the Pupil Premium for your child. This brings the school significant extra funding which we use to support learning in class as well as to offer any paid-for activities or visits at a reduced cost or free. This will also entitle your child to free milk.

Complete online application
A link will be emailed to you (click on link - follow instructions)
Login into your account
Input required information – Click on Education and childcare (Free school meals) right hand side of screen.
Complete online application with your details
Add Child/Children’s information
Click on free school meals application
Enter National Insurance number and date of birth to complete application
