We held a successful Anti-Bullying Week or, as we usually call it; Friendship Week. During the week we focus on building friendships, especially across year groups, fostering the nature protectiveness of our older children for younger pupils. We regroup children into mixed classes for a number of sessions over the week with staff organizing special activities to do this. We also emphasize the Anti-Bullying Alliance 2017 theme of "All Different, All Equal" and look at anti-bullying through the curriculum especially in PSHE and computing lessons. An appropriate finish to the week was our Children Need day when we raise money for the charity by charging staff and pupils to come to school in pyjamas and onesies and, this year, with the school council selling glow-in-the-dark "Pudsey ears". The children really enjoyed the activities the different staff provided and their mixed aged groups and it was good to see how sensibly they found went to the different sessions, with the older children helping the younger ones.
