Our AGM was held on Wednesday 4th October at 3.15 p.m. at the school, where the new committee were elected.

Thank you to everyone who helped and attended the Inflatable afternoon on Friday and supported the school, we raised over £1500. Our next event will be the year 6 leavers BBQ on Thursday 20th July at 6 p.m.
Race Night on Friday 12th May was a huge success, thank you to everyone who helped and attended.
The Quiz Night on Friday 24th February was a big success raising £456 for the school.
The Friends of Woodside Primary School were formed in 2004 and are a registered charity (Full charity name: The Friends of Woodside Primary School, Grays). The Friends run community events throughout the year which also raise money for the school. Much of the equipment in our grounds was funded entirely by the Friends. The Friends funded outdoor table tennis tables, a pantomime for all the children, a new projection system for the hall and reading books for all the classes. Regular Friends events include the Christmas bazaar, the Fathers’ Day and Mothering Sunday gift shops, the Summer Fete or, more recently our Inflatable Fun Afternoon. They also support our sports days, leavers events and Christmas festivities, providing funding and refreshments. The Annual General Meeting is usually held in the spring term and volunteers to serve on the committee are always welcome. Our current committee is Leah Knight (Chair), Samantha Prior (Vice Chair), Lucy Clifford (Secretary), Rebecca Anderson-Preddy (Treasurer) and additional committee members Donna Marshall, Jo Alden, Julie Haydon, Jen Ryder, Tracy Young, Nell Edwards, Perry Hatton, Sarah Quilter, Kim Henry, Karen Conroy, Leigh Johnson, Rick Doye, Lucie Porley and Ruth Briggs.
